The Clique
31st March - 1st April 2006
The Clique women's conference took place at Gorsley Baptist Chapel during Spring 2006, with guest speaker Lisa Harper, all the way from Nashville TN, and Nia as the host and worship leader. The conference gave an opportunity to women of all ages to gather together, have fun and receive a refreshing reminder of God's ever pursuing love.
The conference started on the Friday evening with a 3-course banquet, followed by the opening session. Saturday was weaved with more sessions, more food and some much needed time for relaxation.
Every girl loves shoes, handbags and a great love story... Lisa unpacked one of the greatest love stories ever told - the Song of Solomon. The girls were gripped by the overwhelming realization of being pursued by their maker and that the God of the Universe thinks that our love is better than wine.
Amongst all the laughter, there were some serious moments; Lorraine shared her experiences of battling with breast cancer over the last year, through a video interview. Lorraine explained how she found peace and contentment by yielding everything to God, including her tomorrows.

The Clique was Nia's brainchild, conceived mainly through taking part in women's conferences in the US. Nia recognised that a well organised event for women in the UK, hungry to learn more about God, would be a huge success - judging by the response of the women attending, she was right.
Huge thanks must go to everyone involved in putting on this event from the administrators and caterers, to the technical guys and task team members from the surrounding churches.
